DESCRIPTION
The SALEWA Explorer 12L is a compact backpack designed for children who are new to trekking and day hikes. With its 12-liter capacity, it offers just enough space to carry water, snacks, and essentials without weighing down the wearer.
Construction and materials
The body is made of ripstop polyester, a tear-resistant fabric with a reinforced grid pattern, ideal for withstanding daily use and unexpected trail conditions. The PFAS-free DWR finish provides good light water repellency without resorting to persistent chemicals, an environmentally conscious choice.
Comfort and organization
The back features the Dry Back Contact system, which incorporates an EVA padded panel to cushion the load and promote air circulation on the child's back during longer walks. For internal organization:
