DESCRIPTION
The Salewa Brenta RDS Down Vest is a men's winter vest designed for active layering in the mountains, inspired in shape and name by the Brenta Dolomites. Its sleeveless design makes it an ideal thermal mid-layer to wear under a shell during demanding climbs, or alone during breaks when the temperature drops.
Materials and Insulation
The 550 fill power goose down insulation, with an 80% down and 20% feather ratio, ensures a good balance of lightness, compressibility, and insulating capacity. The down is RDS (Responsible Down Standard) certified, which guarantees animal welfare throughout the production chain. The outer fabric in ripstop nylon offers tear resistance while keeping the overall weight of the garment low, while the PFC-free DWR water repellent treatment protects against light snow and rain without the use of fluorinated substances.
Fit and Construction Details
- Elasticated cuffs at armholes, hem, and collar to block cold air and improve thermal retention during movement
