DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Spirit Express 12 cm is a sport climbing quickdraw designed for those who seek lightness and reliability on bolted routes. With a total weight of only 84 g, it stands out as one of the lightest quickdraws in its category, without compromising structural strength.
Construction and Technology
Both Spirit carabiners feature the Keylock system: the carabiner nose is hook-free, which eliminates the risk of accidental snagging on chains, hangers, and bolts during clipping and unclipping operations. This detail significantly reduces snags on the wall, especially during quick clipping sequences on boulders or technical dihedral routes. The gate carabiner has a 21 mm gate opening, which facilitates rope insertion even with one hand.
Sling and Versatility
The Express sling is ergonomically shaped to keep the lower carabiner always correctly oriented, reducing twisting and ensuring the gate is positioned away from the rock. The 12 cm length makes it ideal for regularly bolted routes, where it's necessary to contain rope drag without excessive pulling. The longitudinal strength is 22 kN, with CE EN 12275 certification.
