DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Scorpio Eashook SW is a Y-shaped via ferrata set with an integrated energy absorber, designed for those who tackle equipped routes and adventure parks with continuous progression. The double-arm structure ensures that at least one carabiner is always attached to the lifeline, guaranteeing safety during the transition from one anchor to the next.
Construction and components
The two arms are made of elastic webbing, a technical choice that reduces bulk and the risk of snagging compared to traditional flat lanyards. The central swivel prevents the arms from twisting around themselves, eliminating tangles that slow down progression. The energy absorber is ultracompact and activates in the event of a fall, limiting the impact force below the safety threshold required by the EN 958 standard. The terminals are equipped with Eashook SW carabiners with easy opening, which can be attached with one hand even with gloves, thanks to the side-sliding system.
