DESCRIPTION
The PETZL OK Screw Lock is an oval aluminum carabiner designed for use with wide-section devices: its symmetrical shape allows pulleys, ascenders, and pulley-ascenders to be perfectly centered, preventing lateral shifting that could compromise their efficiency during rope work.
Geometry and compatibility
Unlike D-shaped carabiners, the oval profile distributes the load evenly on both sides of the body, making the OK ideal for rescue systems, self-rescue, and hoist installations. This feature makes it a benchmark tool in rope access and technical vertical operations, as well as in ice progression with screws and dedicated tools.
