DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Djinn Axess is a sport climbing quickdraw designed for those seeking reliability and ease of use on sport routes. The sewn sling measures 17 cm and connects two ergonomically shaped Djinn carabiners with an asymmetrical cross-section, designed to offer a large contact surface with both the anchor points and bolts, and with the running rope.
Technical features
The rope-end carabiner features an internal screw-gate nose (Keylock system) that eliminates the possibility of accidental snagging on the chain or bolts, making quickdraw retrieval much faster. The large gate opening allows the rope to be clipped even with cold or tired fingers, a concrete advantage in situations of advanced pump. The aluminum body guarantees a major axis strength of 23 kN, with a gate open strength of 24 kN and a gate open strength of 8 kN, values in line with CE EN 12281 certification. The sewn Dyneema Axess sling keeps the two carabiners correctly oriented, reducing twisting during rope passage.
When to use it
Ideal for regular sessions on limestone or conglomerate walls, where frequent rope passage over the edge of the carabiner requires a large and wear-resistant contact area. The combination of handling and robustness makes it suitable for both first lead climbs and prolonged use in intensive training.
