DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Ange Finesse L+l 17 cm is an alpine quickdraw designed for those who want to minimize gear weight without compromising safety. With a low overall weight, it is aimed at mountaineers and climbers undertaking long routes or mixed terrain where every gram makes a difference.
Technology and construction
The two ANGE carabiners mounted on the quickdraw use Petzl's MonoFil technology: the body is made from a single aluminum wire shaped with an H-profile, a solution that allows for an optimal weight-to-strength ratio, keeping the structure rigid and reliable even under load. The L+l configuration combines a large gate carabiner (bolt/protection side) with a small gate one (rope side), facilitating both quick clipping and controlled opening during progression.
Keylock system and nose profile
Both carabiners feature the Keylock system, which eliminates the traditional protruding nose: the nose closes flush with the carabiner body, eliminating the risk of accidental snagging on protection, bolts, or slings during descents and maneuvers. The nose profile is also optimized to allow for smooth and intuitive rope insertion, even with one hand.
