DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Am'D Screw-Lock is an asymmetrical D-shaped aluminum alloy carabiner, designed for connecting belay systems and organizing gear on a harness. The asymmetrical geometry concentrates the load on the main axis, ensuring a more efficient force distribution compared to symmetrical models.
Construction and locking system
The SCREW-LOCK screw gate offers reliable and controlled manual locking: the operator closes the gate by hand, with visual and tactile confirmation of the locked state. The Keylock system eliminates the hook on the carabiner's nose, replacing it with a smooth profile that prevents accidental snagging on slings, ropes, and other equipment. This detail significantly reduces the risk of unintentional opening during maneuvers and simplifies operations, even when wearing gloves.
