The Mammut Taiss IN Hooded Jacket is a mountaineering down jacket designed for those who face challenging mountain conditions without wanting to compromise on lightness. It functions effectively both as an intermediate insulating layer under a hard shell and as an outer jacket on cold, dry days at high altitudes.
Construction and materials
The outer fabric is made of ultra-light recycled nylon with a water-repellent DWR treatment, which repels surface moisture and protects the insulation from thermal degradation caused by humidity. The goose down filling ensures a high warmth-to-weight ratio, keeping the overall volume of the jacket extremely low. The stitched-through construction limits down migration and ensures uniform insulation distribution throughout the body.
