DESCRIPTION
The Aconcagua Light ML Hooded Jacket is a lightweight reinterpretation of one of Mammut's longest-standing fleeces, designed for summer mountaineering, mid-season trekking, and active use at altitude when temperatures drop without becoming critical. The core of the garment is the Polartec® Power Grid™ fabric, a technical fleece that uses a patented honeycomb structure to minimize weight while maintaining effective thermal retention: the result is lightweight insulation that is incredibly soft to the touch and pleasant even when in direct contact with the skin.
Construction and Fit
The ML (Mid Layer) construction indicates the ideal placement of the garment in the layering system: a mid-layer that functions both as a second layer under a waterproof shell and as an outer layer on cool, dry days. The integrated hood adds versatility in situations where the wind picks up unexpectedly. The fit is calibrated for movement in the mountains: snug enough not to create unnecessary air gaps, but not so tight as to restrict freedom of movement during progression.
