The La Sportiva Vanguard is a dual-purpose ski touring boot: designed for those who don't want to sacrifice downhill performance while still seeking an efficient and lightweight product for ascents. Its architecture precisely balances the demands of classic touring and free-touring, making it suitable for long traverses as well as descents on challenging snow.
Construction and Technology
The boot is made with a high-density polyurethane shell that ensures effective power transmission during descent, while maintaining a sufficiently flexible structure in ascent mode. The inner liner is anatomical and thermoformable, ensuring a precise and customizable fit even after long hours in the field. The closure system integrates aluminum buckles combined with a rear lever that allows for quick transitions from ski to walk mode, with a generous forward range of motion that reduces muscle fatigue during ascents.
