The KONG Trapper QD 12CM Petrol is a sport climbing quickdraw that combines two Trapper carabiners with a variable-width polyamide sling, designed for those seeking a tangible balance between low weight and robustness in use on rock climbing routes.
Construction and Materials
Both Trapper carabiners feature the Keylock system, which eliminates the traditional hooked nose and prevents accidental snagging during quickdraw maneuvers—a detail that makes a difference in fast rope handling at the crag. The shape is optimized to ensure a secure grip even with gloves or in wet conditions, without adding unnecessary weight.

- Ultra-resistant Fast Rubber silicone Keeper, which keeps the bottom carabiner correctly oriented without loosening over time

Use and Performance
The 12 cm length is the standard for routes with closely spaced bolts, where a longer quickdraw would create unnecessary rope drag. The silicone Fast Rubber maintains the orientation of the lower carabiner even after hundreds of falls, reducing the need to manually reorient it during climbing. The carabiners are supplied packaged in pairs, ready for immediate use on the wall.
