DESCRIPTION
The Edelrid Roseg Dry 8.3 mm is a half climbing rope designed for those who tackle challenging alpine terrain: long rock routes, classic mountaineering, and glacier crossings all fall perfectly within its scope of use. The 8.3 mm diameter makes it easy to handle and manage even with gloves or in intensely cold conditions.
Construction and Weight
The Roseg's structure is distinguished by a sheath that accounts for 36% of the total weight, a value that indicates robust armor and good abrasion resistance on edges and compact rock. Despite this constructive solidity, the rope weighs only 47 grams per meter, which for a 60-meter length translates into a contained overall weight, essential when every gram counts in your backpack.
UIAA Certified Dry Treatment
The UIAA certified Dry treatment protects both the core and the sheath from water absorption and snow accumulation. An untreated rope in a humid environment can increase its weight by up to 50% and significantly reduce its dynamic properties: Edelrid's Dry treatment maintains consistent performance even in adverse conditions. The Raspberry Snow color facilitates rapid visual recognition of the rope during a climb, especially on snow or ice.
