DESCRIPTION
The Jul² by EDELRID is an advanced plate belay device that takes the logic of tube-style belay devices to a higher level, introducing an assisted braking function without sacrificing ease of use. Unlike devices with full auto-lock, the Jul² offers direct and progressive rope control, making it suitable for both crag climbing and gym sessions with frequent lowering.
Construction and compatibility
The body of the Jul² is made of stainless steel, a material that guarantees significantly higher wear resistance compared to aluminum, extending the device's lifespan even with intensive use. Its low weight makes it easily transportable without weighing down the harness. It is compatible with single ropes with a diameter between 8.9 and 11 mm, covering the entire range of sport climbing ropes currently on the market.
