The Edelrid Slash is a quickdraw designed for sport climbing enthusiasts who value reliability and smooth handling on the route, whether at the crag or in the gym. Its construction features two carabiners with a Keylock closure system, a design that eliminates the nose from the gate opening and significantly reduces the risk of snagging on chains, anchors, or slings during clipping and unclipping.
Construction and Materials
The 18 mm polyester webbing provides controlled rigidity and stability, keeping the lower carabiner correctly oriented with respect to the rope even in awkward positions. The anti-torsion attachment between the webbing and the carabiner prevents unwanted rotations, a technical detail that translates into more precise and secure clips, especially in dynamic sequences or on overhanging routes.
