The EDELRID Swift 48 ECO DRY 8.9 mm is a climbing rope simultaneously certified as a single, half, and twin rope, one of the most versatile solutions currently available for those seeking a single rope suitable for various alpine and sport climbing contexts. With a diameter of 8.9 mm, it ranks among the thinnest single ropes on the market, reducing overall backpack weight without compromising certified safety.
Construction and water-repellent treatment
The construction takes place on a 48-carrier braiding machine, a configuration that produces a more uniform core and a particularly compact sheath, improving rope glide through quickdraws and abrasion resistance. The ECO DRY treatment is applied to both the core and the sheath with a formulation completely free of PFC and PFAS, persistent chemical substances now prohibited or restricted by numerous environmental regulations.
