DESCRIPTION
The DYNAFIT Free 97 is a free touring ski designed for those who don't want to compromise between lightness on the ascent and performance on the descent. With a waist width of 97 mm, it falls into the all-mountain freeride segment, capable of floating on fresh snow and holding an edge on compacted off-piste terrain without weighing down your stride during ascents.
Construction and technology
The core is made of 100% poplar wood, prized for its optimal weight-to-reactivity ratio. Integrated into the longitudinal structure are the DYNAFIT Carbon Speed Stringers, carbon fiber reinforcements that stiffen the ski in the direction of travel, reducing parasitic flex during propulsion and simultaneously lightening the overall weight. The result is a ski that responds precisely to turn initiation without requiring excessive force.
Geometry and on-snow performance
- Front and rear rocker geometry combined with a cambered central zone for on-piste carving
- 3D-shaped tip & tail profile to reduce weight at the ends and improve maneuverability in mixed terrain
- Excellent float on fresh and powdery snow thanks to the wide tip geometry
- Satisfactory stability even on hard snow and steep slopes thanks to the rigidity provided by the Speed Stringers
A solid choice for ski touring trips with significant elevation gains, where arriving at the top fresh makes all the difference in the quality of the descent.
