DESCRIPTION
The CT Concept SG is an HMS (pear-shaped) carabiner made of hot-forged aluminum alloy, equipped with a screwgate and designed for those who move between crags, rock climbing, and alpine routes. The enlarged HMS shape at the top is not an aesthetic detail: it ensures the correct functioning of the Munter hitch knot, leaving ample space for the rope to run and turn without abnormal friction or constrictions during belaying and rappelling.
Technical Features
The hot forging of the light alloy ensures an homogeneous distribution of the material, with a good balance between strength and low weight. The screwgate offers a reliable and controllable manual closure, suitable for situations where you are working at the belay station or managing the rope with a tubular belay device. The internal geometry is designed to facilitate rope maneuvers, including recovery operations and self-rescue techniques on the wall.
When to use it
It is the correct choice for those looking for a versatile and certified HMS carabiner to use as a belay carabiner combined with a tube or directly with a Munter hitch, both in sport climbing and in alpine contexts where rope maneuvers require reliability and ease of handling.
