DESCRIPTION
The Crazy Pant Acceleration Light is a hybrid mountaineering pant built around the Fast & Light philosophy: minimizing weight without sacrificing protection in exposed areas. The construction combines two bi-elastic fabrics with complementary characteristics, strategically placed to respond to the different stresses of a mountain ascent.
Hybrid construction and technical materials
The front panel is made of Endurance Light, a bi-elastic fabric that offers wind protection and water repellency guaranteed by the DWR (Durable Water Repellency) treatment, essential when tackling exposed terrain or variable weather conditions at high altitudes. The back and inner thigh areas, on the other hand, prioritize breathability and freedom of movement, with a second lighter and more breathable bi-elastic fabric that dissipates the heat generated during intense efforts on ascents.
Who it's for and when to use it
The Pant Acceleration Light is designed for mountaineers and ski mountaineers who move on fast routes, where the weight of the equipment is a decisive variable. The hybrid construction makes it effective both on steep approaches and on mixed terrain and snow, in situations where a rigid pant would be excessive and a traditional softshell too heavy. It is equally suitable for rock climbing sessions or long technical hiking outings, where joint mobility cannot be compromised.
