The Crazy Jacket Boosted Proof 3L is a 3-layer waterproof shell designed for technical mountaineering and ski touring in challenging weather conditions. The 2.75-volume construction — halfway between a standard jacket and a minimalist shell — offers the right balance of protection and freedom of movement, without sacrificing packability.
Technical Performance
At the core of the jacket is the Dermizax fabric, a Japanese open-cell membrane that guarantees a 20,000 mm water column, sufficient to handle heavy rainfall and wet snow during high-altitude outings. The taped seams eliminate any points of infiltration, making the water protection complete and uniform. The elastic fit follows body movements without creating tension, a detail that is appreciated during glacier crossings or ski touring transitions.
Ventilation and Breathability
The Shark system is integrated under the armpits, an exclusive direct ventilation solution that promotes heat dispersion during maximum exertion, reducing internal moisture build-up without having to open additional side zippers.
