The CAMP Stalker Semi-Automatic is a 12-point crampon designed for snow and glacier mountaineering, featuring a binding system for boots with a front welt and a rear quick-release lever. The semi-automatic configuration makes it compatible with most technical mountaineering boots that do not have a double rigid welt, offering a balance between mounting versatility and progression security.
Construction and materials
The crampon body is made of NiCrMo alloy steel (nickel-chrome-molybdenum), an alloy known for its high mechanical strength and corrosion resistance, ensuring long-term durability even under intensive use on hard snow and ice. The 12-point structure—with the two front points oriented forward—ensures effective grip on both flat terrain and steep slopes, supporting ice axe progression techniques.
