The CAMP Sphinx PRO is a fixed-sided pulley designed for those who seek maximum compactness without sacrificing mechanical performance. The fixed sides provide a rigid and reliable structure, while its ultra-slim profile makes it easy to integrate into rescue, hauling, or rope progression systems, even in the tightest spaces.
Construction and compatibility
The design considers compatibility with standard equipment: the large central hole allows the passage of the carabiner's gate, eliminating the need to dismantle the system to install the pulley. It is compatible with ropes up to 13 mm in diameter, covering the full range of technical mountaineering and rescue ropes. The possibility of installing a Prusik hitch on one side makes it suitable for use in retrieval or assisted progression systems, where directional control is essential.
Mechanical efficiency
Rotation occurs on ball bearings, a solution that significantly reduces friction compared to simple bronze bushings, ensuring high efficiency both in intensive use and at high sliding speeds. This makes it suitable for both wall rescue maneuvers and high-load hauling systems, where every percentage of friction loss translates into additional fatigue.
