The Black Diamond Camalot Z4 in size 0.3 represents the evolution of single-stem cams, designed for narrow cracks where precise placement and reliable anchoring make all the difference. The 0.3 size covers a range of use from 7.8 to 11.7 mm, making it suitable for thin, parallel cracks typical of granite slabs or sport climbs with close protection.
RigidFlex Technology
At the heart of the Camalot Z4 is the patented Black Diamond RigidFlex stem: it remains rigid during placement, providing the necessary control to accurately insert the cam even in awkward positions. Once placed and during climbing, the stem flexes and adapts to movement, drastically reducing the risk of walking—one of the most common problems with traditional rigid-stem cams. The result is an anchor that remains stable even with challenging fall factors.
