The Atomic Backland PRO SL Woman boot occupies a precise position in the women's freetouring spectrum: it takes the lightness of the UL line and balances it with a firmer downhill stiffness, making it suitable for those who tackle long ascents without sacrificing control on challenging descents.
Construction and Key Technologies
The shell is made of Grilamid, an engineered polyamide that combines structural rigidity and weight containment, while the Skinfit 3D Thermo liner can be thermoformed to adapt to the female foot's morphology, ensuring a precise fit without pressure points. The cuff closure features the Speed Strap system, which integrates buckle and strap into a single mechanism: transitions require a single movement instead of two, reducing changeover times on ridges or mixed terrain. The flex range in walk mode is 55°, sufficient to maintain a fluid stride on steep slopes, while in descent, the boot transitions to stiff mode just as quickly.
