DESCRIPTION
The PIEPS Jetforce BT Pack 55 L is an avalanche airbag backpack with a 55-liter capacity, designed for demanding high-mountain excursions where comprehensive gear is necessary without compromising active avalanche protection. The updated version introduces Bluetooth connectivity, allowing for direct management and monitoring of the system via the dedicated app.
Jetforce System: Electric Fan Instead of Cartridge
Unlike traditional compressed gas systems, Jetforce uses a high-speed electric fan to inflate the airbag, drawing directly from atmospheric air. This approach eliminates reliance on disposable cartridges and allows the system to be activated multiple times on a single charge, a real advantage for pre-outing tests or accidental deployment. The bag inflates in approximately 3 seconds, and once deployed, the fan actively maintains internal pressure throughout the avalanche event.
