The SALEWA Wildfire 2 is an approach and lifestyle shoe designed for children who are beginning to explore mountain trails. Developed with expertise gained in the Dolomites, it combines lightness and protection to accompany young hikers on various terrains, from forests to easy via ferratas.
Construction and Materials
The synthetic upper is both lightweight and abrasion-resistant, an essential quality when children tend to drag their feet on rocks and roots. A full protective rubber rand defends the areas most exposed to impacts, extending the shoe's life even with intensive use. The structure remains flexible enough to adapt to the natural stride of a growing foot.
Sole and Grip
The Pomoca™ Junior Hike sole is developed with a specific tread for children's feet, calibrated in terms of softness and lug pattern to ensure grip on compact trails, wet grass, and rocky surfaces. The difference compared to a generic children's sole is noticeable on descents, where controlled grip reduces the risk of slipping and increases safety.
