The Castelli Competizione 2 Bibshort was created from the concrete need to bring professional race short technologies to a more accessible price point, without compromising on performance. The result is a versatile men's bibshort, suitable for both race day and long weekend rides.
Construction and Fabrics
The main body is made of Endurance 2 by Elastic Interface® fabric, a highly elastic compressive knit that supports thigh muscles, reducing fatigue on long rides. The multi-directional breathable mesh straps ensure freedom of movement and ventilation without creating uncomfortable pressure on the shoulders, even during standing climbs on the pedals.
The Seat Pad and Fit
The Progetto X2 Air Seat Pad is the same solution Castelli uses in its competition collections: an anatomical foam layer with integrated ventilation channels that reduces heat and friction during sessions exceeding three hours. The Race Fit follows the riding position with silicone grippers on the thighs to prevent the hem from riding up while pedaling.
