DESCRIPTION
The Millet Light Down -10°C is a mountaineering sleeping bag designed for those tackling high-altitude bivouacs and winter overnight stays in unheated refuges. Weighing just over a kilogram, it offers a solid balance between thermal insulation and portability, an essential quality when every gram in your backpack makes a difference.
Construction and materials
The outer fabric is made from an ultra-light and tear-resistant nylon, capable of withstanding the stresses typical of high-altitude use without adding bulk to the bag. The internal structure is designed to effectively retain heat down to operating temperatures of -10°C, making it suitable for demanding winter conditions without needing to resort to much bulkier and heavier bags.
Use in mountaineering contexts
Its primary intended use is high-mountain bivouacs: long approaches, nights in a tent on a glacier, or forced stops where temperatures can drop significantly below zero. Thanks to the compressibility of the down, it packs into a compact volume, taking up limited space inside a technical backpack. It is a practical choice for those undertaking multi-day alpine routes during the cold season and who cannot compromise on nocturnal thermal comfort.
