DESCRIPTION
The Ferrino Air-Lite is an inflatable camping mat designed for those who want to minimize backpack weight without sacrificing nighttime comfort. Weighing just 400 grams, it falls into the ultralight category of trekking and bikepacking mats.
Construction and Materials
The body is made of Nylon 40D Ripstop, a grid-structured fabric that combines lightness and tear resistance. The manufacturing process is PFC-free, meaning it's free of perfluorinated compounds, with a reduced environmental impact compared to traditional water-repellent treatments. Once inflated, the mat reaches dimensions of 190 × 57 × 5 cm, sufficient to ensure insulation and cushioning on uneven terrain.
Insulation and Transport
- R-Value 1.9: suitable for spring, summer, and early autumn conditions, with a decent ability to insulate from ground cold
- Packed dimensions: 9 × 25 cm, compatible with the side compartments of most technical backpacks
- The inflation pump is included and also acts as a compression sack, eliminating the need to carry separate accessories
