DESCRIPTION
The CAMP Backcountry Carbon 2.0 is a telescopic pole made of carbon fiber designed for those undertaking long hikes and technical routes where equipment weight makes a difference. The carbon structure guarantees excellent torsional rigidity while maintaining a low weight, a crucial feature on high-altitude excursions or multi-day traverses where every gram in hand is felt.
Construction and Adjustment
The shaft is articulated into three telescopic segments, with a graduated segment that allows the length to be adjusted from a minimum of 64 cm up to 135 cm, adapting to different heights and terrain inclinations. This adjustment range makes it versatile both on ascents, where it shortens to relieve weight on the wrists, and on descents, where lengthening improves stability and control.
Grip and Attachment System
The grip is covered in foam material that absorbs vibrations, maintains a secure hold even with gloves, and is comfortable during prolonged sessions. The ergonomic differentiated straps—right and left—distribute the load evenly on the wrist, reducing fatigue during repeated pushes on the ground.
