DESCRIPTION
The KONG Trapper QD 17CM Petrol is a sport climbing quickdraw built around Trapper carabiners, a solution that effectively balances structural strength and weight containment, making it suitable for both outdoor rock climbing and indoor gym use on sport routes.
Construction and Materials
Both carabiners feature the Keylock system, which eliminates the hooking nose and drastically reduces the risk of snagging on anchors, bolts, and fixed quickdraws. The webbing is made of variable-width Polyamide (16/25 mm): narrower in the central area to reduce weight and bulk, wider at the ends for proper load distribution on the carabiners. The 17 cm length is well-suited for routes with protection slightly spaced from the rock, promoting proper rope management during ascent.
