DESCRIPTION
The CAMP Atom Lock is an HMS carabiner with a screwgate locking mechanism, specifically designed for belaying and rappelling. The characteristic pear shape of the HMS allows the Munter hitch to slide correctly, ensuring smooth and controlled braking in both directions.
Construction and technology
The body is made of high-strength aluminum alloy, with a gate opening of 23 mm that facilitates attachment to anchors or harnesses, even with gloves. The locking system is based on the proprietary SphereLock geometry: the sphere integrated into the carabiner's nose optimizes the leverage applied during opening, reducing the risk of accidental opening under load and improving the mechanical interaction between the gate and the body. The manual screwgate ensures reliable locking in all conditions.
