DESCRIPTION
The Wild Country Friend 1.0 is a new generation double-axle camming device, considered the most advanced piece of equipment in any climber's rack.
The new generation of cams is designed to ensure maximum holding power and minimize the risk of jamming, thanks to three specific technical features:
- 13.75° cam angle for optimized performance in cracks
- Hollow double axle for a more efficient expansion geometry
- Milled lobes for maximum grip and lower jamming probability
The new Flow Cord features a seamless core-and-sheath construction, ensuring smooth and snag-free extension during use.
The range expands with some significant innovations: the 0.3 size is now available with a double axle, while the size 4 integrates a symmetric and preloaded lobe closing mechanism.
The distinguishing feature of the Wild Country Friend remains the combination of a thumbloop and an extendable sling, a design that offers three concrete advantages:
- Reduces the need for additional quickdraws
- Minimizes rope drag
- Decreases the potential for cam walking

Milled and polished cam lobes: untreated soft aluminum with 8-10% superior grip compared to anodized surfaces
Pre-loaded cam lobe closure system (size 4): central spring for symmetrical closure and easy to use even with one hand
