DESCRIPTION
The Petzl Neox is an assisted-braking belay device developed specifically for lead climbing in gyms and at crags. Its distinctive feature is the integrated wheel in the belay device's body, which drastically reduces friction during rope glide: the result is exceptionally smooth rope handling, both when taking in and paying out rope, without snags or annoying resistance.
Locking Mechanism and Safety
The assisted-braking system activates automatically thanks to a rotating cam that locks the rope in the event of a lead climber fall. The mechanism is compatible with ropes with diameters between 8.5 mm and 10.5 mm, thus covering most modern sport climbing ropes. EN 15151-2 certification guarantees compliance with European standards for assisted-braking belay devices.
