DESCRIPTION
The CT Nuptse EVO Automatic is a twelve-point crampon made of hardened and painted steel, designed for classic mountaineering on mixed terrain: compact snow channels, mixed ridges, and moderately difficult goulottes. The steel structure ensures rigidity and impact resistance even at very low temperatures, keeping the points sharp longer than light alloys.
Construction and grip on the terrain
The front points are ribbed, a geometry that increases the contact surface on ice and reduces lateral slipping during vertical passages. The central body is sized to distribute the load over the entire length of the sole, reducing fatigue on long treks.
Adjustment and binding system
The strong point of the Nuptse EVO is its ultra-fast macro-adjustment system, which allows the crampon length to be adapted to different boot sizes without tools, easily switching between pairs of footwear in a few seconds. The binding is automatic, compatible with boots featuring a rigid heel and toe welt according to the technical mountaineering standard, ensuring a stable and play-free interface during progression.
