The DYNAFIT Transalper Dynastretch vest is designed for those tackling significant elevation changes in variable weather conditions, when the cold arrives suddenly but physical activity is still intense. With a low weight and an athletic fit, it integrates perfectly into a layering system without hindering movement.
Technical construction and materials
The vest is made from Dynastretch fabric, a four-way elastic construction that follows every movement without creating tension. The material is PFAS-free — completely eliminating fluorinated water repellent treatments — while still ensuring effective wind resistance in the front. The lightweight and packable construction allows it to be stowed in a jacket pocket or backpack without taking up space.

When to use it for hiking and skyrunning
The Transalper Dynastretch covers that grey area where a thermal base layer alone is no longer enough but wearing a jacket would be excessive. It is particularly effective during ridge ascents with side wind or during short breaks at altitude, where rapid body cooling is the main risk. The breathable back prevents overheating during the most physically demanding sections of the route.
